Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First, Second, Sixth and Seventh Districts announce an arrest has been made in reference to multiple Burglary offenses that occurred at the following locations:
First District:
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: On Friday, December 21, 2018, at approximately 10:51 am, in the 300 block of 7th Street, Southeast, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 18-216-328
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: On Thursday, January 3, 2019, at approximately 4:15 am, in the 400 block of L’Enfant Plaza, Southwest, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-001-433
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: Between Friday, February 15, 2019, at approximately 5:00 pm, and Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at approximately 9:00 am, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, the suspect entered an establishment and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-029-461
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: On Sunday, March 3, 2019, at approximately 9:03 pm, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-036-922
Second District:
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: On Sunday, January 6, 2019, between approximately 4:00 am and 6:30 am, in the 1800 block of I Street, Northwest, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-003-373
Sixth District:
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: On Friday, January 18, 2019, at approximately 2:01 am, in the 1400 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast, the suspect entered an establishment and attempted to take property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-009-920
Seventh District:
- Burglary Two: On Monday, December 10, 2018, between approximately 12:25 pm and 1:35 pm, in the 1200 block of U Street, Southeast, the suspect entered an unoccupied residence and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 18-209-404
- Burglary Two of an Establishment: Between Monday, December 24, 2018, at approximately 8:30 pm, and Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at approximately 9:40 am, in the 2000 block of Shannon Place, Southeast, the suspect entered an establishment and took property then fled the scene. CCN: 18-218-808
On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, 24-year-old Mathews Leroy Carter, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with eight counts of Burglary Two.
