Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, April 15, 2019, in the 900 block of 17th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 10:12 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 43-year-old Charles Coaston, of Jarratt, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
