Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, November 1, 2019, in the 700 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 12:20 am, the victims and the suspect were involved in a verbal dispute at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and shot the victims then fled the scene. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Friday, November 22, 2019, 35 year-old Jasad Harris, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
