Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, January 21, 2019, in the 4300 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast.

At approximately 11:00 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim.

On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 60-year-old Herman Johnson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
