Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, December 30, 2018, in the 1200 block of 49th Place, Northeast.
At approximately 1:05 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 36 year-old Edwin Wilder, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
