On Saturday, July 4, 2015, at approximately 12:50 pm, Mr. Kevin Joseph Sutherland was stabbed to death in the 200 block of Florida Avenue, NE (Gallaudet-NoMa Metro Station). The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.
On Monday, July 06, 2015, Fourth District patrol officers located and arrested 18 year-old Jasper Spires of Washington, DC, in the 4800 block of Georgia Avenue, NW. He was charged with Murder I While Armed.
